What is EFLE?
The EFLE conference is an annual event hosted by the European Forum of Logistics Education (EFLE), a non-profit organization that brings together universities to collaborate on logistics education and research. These conferences facilitate knowledge sharing, curriculum development, and international cooperation among educators and researchers in the fields of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
Logistics and global supply chain management are part of SAMK’s strategic focus on security of supply. Therefore, international collaboration in education and research is an important factor in our success in supporting the businesses and enterprises of the Satakunta region.
Daniela Tanhua, Head of Teaching in the Faculty of Technology and Maritime Studies and a central member of the organizing group, explained that the EFLE association has long been a network of experts in the logistics field. “We have been pleased to collaborate with our partners from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, and Denmark over the past 15 years,” she noted.
Tanhua also emphasized that, in the future, SAMK plans to engage in data science projects and research, particularly in the areas of the circular economy, Earth observation, and port ecosystem development.
