Project objectives

The COVID-19 pandemic showed that disease situations require new types of preparedness and approaches, including in the maritime sector. Outbreaks on ships are likely, and knowledge and skills to deal with disease situations can play a significant role in containing the epidemic. The DESSEV project will develop decision-making tool and operational guidelines for epidemic situations on vessels. The project is coordinated by Sczeczin Maritime University in Poland and partners include Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie Medical University in Poland, SPINAKER training company in Slovenia, University of Catalonia in Spain, IDEC Training Consulting in Greece and Centre for Factories of the Future (C4FF) in Sweden.
