I’ve graduated from SAMK in Maritime management in 2010. My career has included different roles in the maritime sector, including stevedoring, towage, pilot boats and fairway work. A few years after graduation I was pulled into the world of hydrography where I worked as a hydrographer and later shifted on-shore to do operative office work. In addition to hydrography, I worked in chart production. My career at SAMK as a Project Manager in the SataMieLo project started at the beginning of January 2022. I spend most of my free time with my family and my children’s hobbies. In the summer, I try to spend time at sea and at our family summer cottage.

I graduated from SAMK as an Engineer of Industrial Management and Technology (BSc). I have worked in industry in the Rauma area before joining SAMK. Currently, I am working as a Project Researcher at the Maritime Logistics Research Center, and, in addition, I teach 3D-modelling and product development. My career at SAMK started in January 2021, and I have really enjoyed working with awesome colleagues… even though some colleagues still need reminding and convincing about how nice it is to play golf during summertime.

I started with SAMK in April 2022 as a Communications and Stakeholder Relations Expert. I have a Master of Arts in PR and Organizational Communications, and majority of my work experience is with Finnish pulp and paper industry and from the field of nuclear energy – a job through which I have also worked abroad. Internationality is close to my heart, as are the themes of holistic well-being: I am a solution-focused life coach, mental coach and the latest feather in my well-being hat is graduating as a clinical hypnotherapist. All the remaining time I dedicate to my daughter and whenever possible, also to sports and to the local crisis center as a crisis help line volunteer.
